Three Belleville residents who were arrested last April following a raid on an illegal dispensary in the city have had their day in court.
Charles Jesson, 33, Jason Clancey, 35, and Crystal Gallagher, 36, appeared in provincial court today.
They were arrested following a raid on the business that was operating under the name “Threadz” on Station Street.
Jesson and Clancey have both completed the required number of community service hours ordered by the court and Justice Stephen Hunter granted them an absolute discharge.
Justice Hunter also ordered a ten-year weapons prohibition to Jesson and Clancey.
Gallagher’s lawyer Monica Rodrigues told the court her client has been unable to complete the required number of community service hours.
Justice Hunter gave Gallagher until March 28 to complete the remainder of the required community service hours and ordered a weapons prohibition for ten years and the forfeiture of her cell phone.
All three were facing charges of two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking in a controlled substance and possession of the proceeds of crime.
Police seized marijuana, marijuana edibles, suppositories and hash. Also seized were cell phones, cash, scales and packaging materials.
