Possession of property obtained by crime
On Feb. 25, 2019, at approximately 6:20 p.m., Belleville Police arrested a male and a female for possession of property obtained by crime. Officers were originally investigating a break and enter that took place earlier this month when they came across information that an item stolen from the break and enter was sold to a local business. Matthew McIsaac and Cynthia Newnham were identified as the culprits and arrested. Mr. McIsaac was charged with possession of property obtained by crime and a breach of probation. Miss Newnham was charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime. Both were released on a promise to appear with an OIC Undertaking with conditions.
Domestic
On February 25, 2019, at approximately 8:30 p.m., officers attended an east end residence for a report of a domestic dispute. A 40-year-old Belleville man was arrested for assault, mischief under $5000, uttering a threat to cause death and uttering a threat to cause bodily harm. He was later released on a promise to appear and an OIC Undertaking with conditions.
Warrant
On February 25, 2019, at approximately 11 p.m., Belleville Police were called to North Park Street near College Street for a report of a female acting strangely. Officers observed the female to be intoxicated due to the consumption of alcoholic beverage and unknown drugs. Further investigation revealed that she also had a warrant for her arrest from a previous incident. A 32-year-old Belleville woman was arrested for her safety and the outstanding warrant.
