U10 – Congratulations to the U10 Racers who represented Batawa at Hidden Valley Highlands Ski Club on February 23.
Representing the girls were Maya Bianchi, Kaelin Hearn, Jillian Schmoll, Addison Asti, Olivia Bush, Remy Dullard-Krizay, Marli Wright, and Jadyn Barrett
For the boys, Elio De Luca and Linden Forrest.
U12
The U12 Wildcats competes at The Heights of Horseshoe. Mia Del Grosso finished 5th, Julia Isbester 9th, Rachel Brady 13th, Teagan Moore 14th, Olivia Bell 32nd, Elena Deluca 37th, August Nadolny 47th, Danielle Mitts 51st and Zoe Osborne who had 20th place after her first run just missed a gate on her second. The U12 boys were successful in completing both runs and Keith Bentley was 28th overall, David Kimball was 45th and Gavin Allen was 51st.
U14
The Batawa U14 team was at the Muskoka Ski Club at Hidden Valley on Sunday for their final slalom race of the season. Congratulations go to Haleigh MacPherson for her gold medal finish, and to Holly Liu for joining her on the podium with bronze, and Anna Schmoll who placed 7th rounding out the top ten. Ileana De Luca (22nd), Sara Parent (24th), Molly Henderson (27th), Alexia Bianchi, and Andi Hunt were disqualified.
For the boys, Benjamin Onesi placed (15th), Evander Bentley (23rd), Bodin MacDonald (27th). Ian Isbester, Jonah Hope, and Spencer Dullard-Krizay were all disqualified at gate 25 after fast first runs on the course.
U19
Batawa U19s and Isaac Hollinger, Batawa U16 OCUP team took part in a 3-day ski cross event at Caledon Ski Club.
Hannah O’Boyle-Kelly, Chloe O’Boyle-Kelly, Annissa Bray, Reena Liu, Isaac Hollinger, Padraigh Brady, Caleb Faubert-Roy, Ian Worgan and Jaxon Starbuck participated.
Batawa was well-represented. Congratulations to Isaac Hollinger (1st, U16 ), Jaxon Starbuck (4th, U19), Reena Liu (7th, U19), Chloe O’Boyle-Kelly (8th, U19).
