The Belleville Minor Football League will have a new name this season.
It will be called the Quinte Skyhawks Minor Football League.
Belleville Minor Football has teamed with the No Limits Youth Organization.
BMFL convenors Gary Parcels and Dick Howe called it a natural fit adding that coming under the Skyhawks organization will be a positive step for their minor program. Skyhawks president Peter Gabriel added that their minor program is extremely important to the success of their varsity programs and having everything together is only going to strengthen both levels of football.
Currently the No Limits/Skyhawks organization runs a touch/flag football league for youth ages 7-16, summer and winter camps, along with their Varsity programs. Adding minor football will allow football for the Quinte area to be under one organization.
Belleville Minor Football has been operating since 1995 and included 8 teams from Belleville, Quinte West, Campbellford, Madoc and Napanee.
