There were a lot of relieved people, young and old, after a major search yesterday (Tuesday) afternoon around the village of Castleton in Northumberland County.
According to Today’s Northumberland, two young students at Northumberland Hills Public School went missing around 2:30 in the afternoon.
Police were notified and OPP officers responded along with emergency response, K9, snowmobile units, and a police helicopter.
Residents in the area also joined in the search.
The boys, 9-year-old Jayson Bullard and 8-year-old Sheldon Higginson were found around 5 o’clock playing in a field off Valley Road, about 6 kilometres from the school. They were fine.
