There’s good news for Habitat for Humanity Hastings-Prince Edward.
A committee of Hastings County council is recommending council approve an increase of $33,000 to the grant given to Habitat to provide financial help for a down payment on a new home build.
The extra money will help support four new home builds this year in Quinte West.
With the addition, each family purchasing a Habitat home this year will be able to make a down-payment of $37,500.
