The province is investing close to $1 million to help with transportation in Northumberland County.
This week, Northumberland Peterborough South MPP David Piccini announced $979,946 from the Community Transportation Grant Program and the Gas Tax Program.
The communities of Port Hope and Cobourg receive $164,955 and $203,915 , Trent Hills $77,577, and Cramahe and Hamilton Township $36,299.
The remaining $497,000 will go into investment in rural transportation and accessible transit in the county.
That half million will come over the next five years.
The province reinvests two cents from every litre of fuel into transit across the province.
