The Belleville Police Service responded to 41 calls for service between February 12, 2019 at 5 a.m. and February 13, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Disturbance
On February 12, 2019, at 5:43 a.m., police attended on Mudcat Road in relation to a family disturbance. A 47-year-old Belleville man was arrested for his own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. He was issued a provincial offence notice for being intoxicated in a public place. No one was injured.
Theft of gas
On February 12, 2019, at 2:09 p.m. police attended in the parking lot of the Wellness Centre on Cannifton Road in relation to an attempted theft of gas from a parked pickup truck. The investigation revealed that the unknown suspect drilled a hole in the gas tank of the truck. A gas can had been placed underneath to capture the gas. The suspect was interrupted during this theft and drove away in a small, beige pickup truck. The gas can was left behind.
