A young Belleville man is spending over four years in jail after a violent incident in the north end of the city late last May.
Daniel Woodstock, 23 at the time of his arrest, was recently sentenced to 54 months prison time on an aggravated assault charge.
He had been in jail for six months previous to his sentencing. Other charges against him were withdrawn.
Belleville police were called to an apartment complex after reports of several people fighting and that one man was brandishing a knife.
No one was seriously injured.
