A Toronto man has been charged after allegations that someone tried to pay for gas with a counterfeit $100 bill yesterday (Wednesday) morning.
Belleville police responded after a man caused a disturbance at a Bell Boulevard gas station when the clerk refused to accept the cash.
The 52-year-old was charged with making and using counterfeit money. He was also wanted in Toronto for similar offences.
He was held for a bail hearing.
