Motor vehicle collisions
On February 5, 2019, Belleville Police responded to 10 collisions throughout the city between 9:35 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. There were no injuries reported in the collisions.
Mother and son arrested for breaching conditions
On February 5, 2019 at 9:30 p.m., officers on patrol observed a vehicle at an east end address belonging to a female they had dealt with early in the evening who was on conditions to remain in her residence in Flinton between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. While watching the vehicle, police observed a male known to them to be on a curfew from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. relating to a robbery charge. The 40-year-old female from Flinton was located at 10:10 p.m. and arrested for breaching her recognizance. Police then arrested the 21-year-old male from Deseronto and learned that the two were mother and son. Both parties were on a recognizance with a curfew for unrelated offences. They are both being held for a bail hearing on February 6.
