Brighton council will make a decision on whether or not to allow off-road vehicles, such as ATVs, to drive on municipal roadways at its meeting tonight (Monday).
Council discussed the issue recently and an off-road vehicle bylaw is ready for them to vote on tonight.
The bylaw would allow all-terrain vehicles and the like to drive on the shoulders of all municipally controlled roads, but not Northumberland County Roads, such as County Road 30.
Off-road vehicles would not be allowed on roads between the hours of 8 p.m. and 8 a.m.
Brighton council meets at 6:30 tonight in council chambers.
