A major development application is now being studied by City of Belleville planning staff involving a 40 acre piece of land along Bell Boulevard.

Panciuk they are looking at 184,000 square feet in additional retail space.
There has been speculation for years that Costco has been eyeing a move to Belleville, but nothing has been confirmed by the company.
The municipality is staying tight lipped.
It is anticipated that an application will come before the Planning Committee in March, with public consultation beginning in April. That is when the company will be announced.
It would be located directly west of Townplace Suites on Bell Boulevard, with the swath of land stretching to the 401.
