An online social media profile of a woman accused of sexual assault and other charges shows connections to local children’s aid and healthcare organizations.
Forty-eight-year-old Sandra Forcier, of Belleville, was charged Thursday with sexual assault, sexual exploitation of a youth and sexual interference, in connection with incidents involving two victims in 2012 and 2013.
According to Forcier’s LinkedIn, she worked for the Highland Shores Children’s Aid Society for close to nine years, including at the time of the alleged incidents and was also a professor at both Loyalist College in Belleville and St. Lawrence College in Kingston.
Belleville Police have confirmed Forcier’s places of employment, but at this point there has been no connection made between her work and the charges against her.
Highland Shores Children’s Aid Executive Director Tami Callahan also tells Quinte News that Forcier worked with the agency up until 2013 and says while there is no confirmation that youth in care were involved in the alleged incidents, the organization will be working with police moving forward.
Forcier is scheduled to appear in court on February 28.
