Parks Canada is giving a heads up to drivers using the Brighton Road Swing Bridge on County Road 64, that there will be more intermittent delays next week, as more testing takes place on the bridge’s new hydraulic system.
The intermittent closures will happen between 8:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m., on February 6, 7 and 8, for about 15 minutes at a time.
Parks Canada says flag staff may be on site directing traffic through one lane at other times during the testing and that more testing will come during the warmer spring months.
The bridge replacement is part of a five year, $3 billion commitment to support work on Parks Canada’s infrastructure, heritage, visitor information, waterway and highway assets.
