Mandy Savery-Whiteway is retiring and it is now official.
At its meeting on Thursday night, the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board approved the retirement of the Director of Education effective August 30.
She told Quinte News what the next steps are for the board in finding her replacement.
Savery-Whiteway expects this process will begin shortly as it will take a number of months to complete.
She has been with HPEDSB for 33 years, with the last six as the Director of Education.
