He was stuck in St. John New Brunswick longer than expected due to a storm, however with a major milestone under his belt, he seems okay with that.
Monday morning, Quinte News reached out to Trenton’s Trennt Michaud, just a few days after he won a silver medal in the senior pairs at the Canadian Tire Canadian Figure Skating Championships. A massive storm hit, grounding their flight back to Ontario.
Michaud and his partner Evelyn Walsh were second following the short program, and heading into their nationally televised free skate, he says they were nervous.
He says it is truly amazing.
Coming off the silver, Michaud and Walsh have qualified for the Four Continents in Anaheim next month and the World Championships in Japan in March.
The silver comes just a few days after Chloe Choinard of the Stirling Figure Skating Club picked up gold in the Junior Pairs.
