Staff at Joyceville Institution near Kingston say a more than week-long lockdown has ended.
Assistant Warden Lorrie Oddie says corrections officers did a thorough search of the facility during the lockdown and seized a number of unauthorized items.
The lockdown, which was put in place in the Assessment Unit, had been in effect since January 9.
Oddie says operations have returned to normal and visits have resumed.
