Stirling-Rawdon council has voted to allow retail cannabis stores in the community should the opportunity arise in the future.
Council held a short special meeting late yesterday afternoon (Monday) to approve a recommendation to opt in for retail cannabis from its Planning Committee.
Meanwhile, the issue was also before Brighton council last night at a planning meeting but it was deferred until Monday, January 21, one day before the province’s deadline for a decision.
Quinte West council is also expected to decide on retail cannabis stores this Monday.
Prince Edward County council is holding a special meeting at 7 o’clock tonight (Tuesday) to make a final decision.
