A member of the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board says it’s about time the board’s boundaries were discussed again.
Spencer Hutchison, a trustee from Trenton and CFB Trenton, says Trenton has added a lot of population in its west end and many
students are being bused to East Northumberland Secondary in Brighton when they could instead just walk to Trenton High School a couple of blocks away.
Hutchison says tax dollars and the students’ time are being wasted.
Boundaries separating Hastings Prince Edward and Kawartha Pine Ridge boards were put in place close to 50 years ago.
More information on the issue is expected to be brought to a future committee meeting.
