The Belleville Police responded to 52 calls for service between January 13, 2019 at 5 a.m. and January 14, 2019 at 5 a.m.
Wrong licence plates leads to charges
On January 13, 2019 at 9:30 p.m., police observed a vehicle on Purdy Street displaying two different licence plates. Police stopped the vehicle and learned that the driver, a 54-year-old from Belleville only had a G1 licence and no insurance. Police seized the plates, towed the vehicle, and the male was charged with multiple offenses and issued summons to court in February.
