The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario has released the winners of the initial lottery draw in a process to create retail cannabis stores in the province.
Five businesses and/or individuals were selected in East Region. It’s not known whether any of the five are from the Quinte region or intend to open a business here.
Those selected in East Region were Daniel Telio, Brandon Long, Patterson and Lavoie, PURE ALPHA HOLDINGS, and Karan Someshwar.
There were 25 selections made province wide. Those selected must now make applications including cash deposits to the Commission with stores to be open by April 1.
