Council in the Municipality of Brighton will be making a decision on whether to allow retail cannabis stores this Monday night.
Brighton council will hold a discussion on the issue at its Planning Committee meeting.
That meeting begins at 6:30 in council chambers.
Belleville council is expected to decide the issue Monday as well at its meeting which begins at 4 o’clock.
Recently, Prince Edward County council’s Committee of the Whole voted almost unanimously to allow retail marijuana stores in the county.
Quinte West council will debate retail cannabis outlets on January 21, one day before the province’s decision deadline.
