There was substantially less building activity in Belleville last month, compared to December of 2017.
Thirty permits were issued, at a construction value of more than $3.6 million, compared to 52 permits in December 2017, with a construction value of more than $15.7 million.
The year-end construction values are down as well.
Through all of 2017, the city issued permits with a construction value of more than $122 million, while in 2018 year-end construction value of building permits totalled a little over $114 million.
Of the 806 total permits issued in 2018, 205 were for new residential builds, five for new commercial builds and one each for new industrial and new government builds.
