Newly elected mayor of Prince Edward County Steve Ferguson is excited for the things to come in 2019.
With a majority new council, he says the first quarter of the year will be about populating advisory committees and boards.
From there they will deal with three big issues; cannabis retail stores, the budget and short-term accommodation licencing.
Another immediate priority will be to address the housing crisis that is facing the County.
One of the big challenges will be the financial crunch.
Mayor Ferguson says there are a couple things they are looking at.
Another concern is the water/waste water costs in the county.
