Construction of housing in the municipality of Brighton slowed down slightly in 2018.
Statistics just released by the municipality indicate there were 87 dwelling units being built last year, for a total of $36.7 million.
This was 28 fewer than in 2017.
The value of building in 2017 was $41.2 million.
Chief Building Officer Rick Jones tells Quinte News municipalities in the Quinte area are seeing an influx of home buyers leaving the Toronto area and settling here.
He said construction changes just slightly from year to year.
The statistics include $54,000 for a water tower on Goodrich Road.
Jones explains what that’s about.
