Belleville Police are asking for any witnesses, following a serious crash last night in the city.
Around 7:30 p.m., officers were called after a driver slammed into two parked cars, an apartment building, and ruptured a gas line.
Belleville Fire members had to extricate the driver, who was taken to hospital with significant injuries.
Fifty-eight-year-old James Mark Peszat is charged with impaired and dangerous driving.
He has a court date next month.
