WRITTEN BY THE BELLEVILLE POLICE:
Belleville, Ontario – On December 16, 2018 between 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m., an unknown thief stole a Santa Claus decoration from outside a business at the top end of Front Street.
The complainant in the matter, a local businessman, advised police he was inside his shop preparing for a new opening.
He attended outside to retrieve the Santa Claus, and observed it to be missing.
The Santa is described as being 2.5 feet in height, made of plastic, and has an electrical cord attached. When plugged in, the Santa lights up and waves his arms. Further investigation into the matter resulted in police obtaining the attached two photographs of an unidentified male police believe to be responsible for the theft.
Police are asking the public for assistance in identifying the individual in the attached photographs.
