Break and Enter
Belleville, Ontario – On December 30, 2018, at 6:49 a.m. police responded to an alarm at a business on Hwy 62. Entry had been gained into the store. Several items were stolen including fishing reels and a shotgun. The shotgun is described as a Browning 12-gauge pump action. Fraudulent rental ads
Belleville, Ontario – On December 30, 2018, at 7 p.m., a property owner called to advise that her home that was listed for sale was also listed for rent by unknown persons. The internet site for the rental ad shows a picture of the home. The ad is requesting a $1000 deposit, and the rent is listed at $1000 a month. Police are urging potential renters to never forward money in advance without visiting and researching the property first.
