It was all smiles for the local chapter of the Canadian Cancer Society Saturday night.
During the Belleville game against Binghamton, team members and officials presented local cancer society staff with a cheque for just under $20,000.
The money was raised through the AHL and NHL’s Hockey Fights Cancer program.
Fundraising Specialist Jessica Klein with the Hastings Prince Edward branch of the Canadian Cancer Society says the relationship with the B-Sens has been wonderful.

The Wheels of Hope program drives those living with cancer to meetings and appointments.
About 4,200 trips for residents in Hastings Prince Edward took volunteer drivers more than 385,000 kilometres.
