Former mayor Rodney Cooney says 2018 was a great year for residential development in Stirling-Rawdon.
He says several developments have been approved and more are planned.
And although there’s nothing concrete yet, Cooney says late in the year, there was a conversation about building seniors condos on the site of the old Brown Shoe Factory.
It will likely be a couple of years before any project gets underway.
Cooney who did not run for re-election in the fall municipal election, has mixed feelings about being away from council.
Bob Mullin is now mayor of Stirling-Rawdon.
