Belleville police officers hunted down a suspect after a hit and run collision on Prince of Wales Drive early last night (Monday).
A car hit a pole around 7:30, however the driver took off on foot.
Officers followed footprints along three different streets before finally ending up on Bleecker Avenue.
Around 8 o’clock police arrested a 40-year-old Belleville man. He had been drinking and received a three-day licence suspension.
He was also charged with careless driving, failing to remain at the scene of an accident, failing to report an accident, driving without insurance, and driving without a valid licence plate.
