Traffic investigators are blaming rainy weather for a pair of crashes at Highway 49 and Belleville Road, in Tyendinaga Township yesterday.
Police were investigating the first crash between a Dodge Ram pickup and an eastbound Toyota SUV, when a southbound Pontiac sedan smashed into a westbound Mercedes sedan.
No injuries were reported in either crash, but one of the drivers in the first incident, a 68-year-old man from Woodstock, is charged with careless driving.
There were no charges laid in the second incident.
Meanwhile, Napanee OPP are investigating the theft of four vehicles from a job site in Stone Mills Township.
Investigators say sometime between December 15 and 16, someone got onto the property at 724 Centreville Road and stole three side-by-side John Deere Gator UTVs.
The models were from 2013, 2014 and 2016 respectively.
The thieves also got away with a Bobcat brand UTV, some small hand tools and batteries.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Napanee OPP or Crimestoppers.
