Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP Mike Bossio says he’s ready to keep fighting for rural Canadians.
The Prime Minister echoed Bossio’s sentiment and touted the Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP’s record of doing just that.
Bossio used his time to thank his campaign team and the electorate for their past support and asked for that support again, on the road toward next year’s vote.
He also says having the in-person support of the prime minister to start the campaign is invaluable.
Trudeau also brought up the memory of his last visit to Napanee in 2015, when he made headlines by visiting a Tim Hortons in town, saying it was one of the most memorable stops for him during that campaign.
The PM also took a moment to recognize late former Hastings County Warden Margaret Walsh, calling her “an extraordinary local Liberal, that taught so many people about the quality and value of service”.
He added that she “would be long remembered for the extraordinary impact she had on this community”.
