A Napanee gas station is one of three across the province getting some cash to improve its clean energy options.
The Flying J, along Highway 401, is getting $1 million to install a compressed natural gas station, through Clean Energy Fuels Corporation and Union Energy Solutions Limited.
MP Mike Bossio says the station will allow for more energy efficient hydrogen-powered heavy-duty trucks to fuel up and travel confidently along the 401.
The money is coming from Canada national energy dialogue, which is investing more than $182 million to develop a coast-to-coast charging network for electric vehicles and to establish natural gas stations along key transportation routes.
