Charges laid after report of ditched car
A 23-year-old man has been charged after a car was reported in the ditch early Saturday morning.
Belleville Police and Hastings-Quinte EMS responded to the incident on Airport Parkway, around 1:04 a.m., where the vehicle had sustained moderate damage and had to be towed away.
Nobody was found at the scene, but a police investigation led them to the Deseronto man, who was charged with a G-1 licence violation and careless driving.

Traffic stop leads to pot charges
Drug charges have been laid after a routine traffic stop in Belleville early this morning.
Officers on traffic patrol noticed a vehicle with licence plate and permit issues, around 2:20 this morning and pulled the car over and noticed an amount of marijuana readily available to the driver.
The 21-year-old woman was ticketed under the provincial Cannabis act and the marijuana was seized.
Rock thrown through window
A 23-year-old has been charged after a rock was thrown through a window on Saturday night.
Police were called to the home in the south west part of the city, around 7:32 p.m. and ended up charging Jordan Cassibault with mischief under $5,000.
He was released with a January court date.
