Both local Junior A teams lost last night (Friday).
In Wellington, the Dukes fell to Whitby 3 to 2.
Elijah Gonsalves scored both goals for the Dukes.
It was a scrappy affair with Wellington taking 36 penalty minutes and Whitby 26.
The Dukes were out shot 40 to 35 in front of close to 500 fans.
The Dukes are on the road and playing Mississauga tonight (Saturday) at 7:45.
Meanwhile, in the fish pond in Lindsay, the Trenton Golden Hawks were shut out 3 nothing by the
Muskies.
Muskies.
The loss came despite the G Hawks out shooting “the fish” 45 to 27.
The game, attended by 184 fans, featured just 6 penalties in total.
