Belleville Police have released the name of the man accused in Saturday’s stabbing in the city.
Police have charged 38-year-old Brien Theobalds of Oshawa with one count of aggravated assault.
He was remanded into custody and will appear in court in Belleville later today.
The victim remains in hospital in Kingston with serious injuries.
The case has been turned over to detectives with the Criminal Investigations Branch.
Police are still seeking more witnesses to this event as the investigation is ongoing.
