The third annual Cop Shop event with the Belleville Police was held today at the Quinte Mall.
The program pairs 15 children in need with an officer to go Christmas shopping.
The Quinte Mall provides each child with a new winter coat and a stocking.
Deputy Chief Mike Callaghan says this is an event both officers and the children look forward to.
Deputy Chief Callaghan said who the kids end up buying for may surprise people.
Deputy Chief Callaghan says this event gives deserving kids a chance to not only have a Christmas to remember, but the opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with the Belleville Police Service.
