A 48-year-old Belleville man has been charged in connection to a violent assault in Kingston.
Kingston Police reported the man and the victim were at a Kingston hotel back on October 18 when he became angry with the woman and hit her and choked her.
He also threatened her and took her money and phone before leaving.
Detectives identified the man last week and he was arrested last Thursday in Belleville.
The accused appeared in court for a bail hearing the next day.
He is facing assault, robbery, choking, harassment by threatening conduct, uttering threats to cause death, uttering threats to cause bodily harm and theft charges.
