Hastings Prince Edward School Board settles in

The initial meeting of the Hastings and Prince Edward District School Board was held on Monday night.

The board welcomed six new trustees along with four returning trustees.

Returning for another term are: Mike Brant (Mohawks of Bay of Quinte), Jennifer Cobb (North Prince Edward County, acclaimed), Bonnie Danes (Centre Hastings, acclaimed) and Lucille Kyle (North Hastings, acclaimed).

Director of Education Mandy Savery-Whiteway says she looks forward to the next four years.

Binder was elected chair and Chatten was elected vice-chair for a year term each.

Savery-Whiteway says she knows the board is committed to the work ahead.
