A 21-year-old woman faces theft and assault charges after a shoplifting incident yesterday (Friday) afternoon at a business in the north end of Belleville.
City police report a shoplifter attempted to leave a store without paying and assaulted a staff member who tried to stop her.
Facing charges is Justice Herrington-Zebedee of Belleville.
She has a January court date.
