Traffic Enforcement
On November 28, 2018, at 6:18 a.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Dundas Street East. The driver, a 27-year-old Deseronto man, was a prohibited driver. His vehicle was impounded for 45 days. He was charged with driving while prohibited and will appear in Belleville criminal court on January 19, 2019.
On November 28, 2018, at 2:37 p.m. a traffic stop on Palmer Road resulted in charges. The driver, a 59-year-old Belleville woman, was charged with driving while under suspension.
Motor vehicle collisions
On November 28, 2018, at 11:15 a.m. police attended at a two-car collision in the parking lot on the east side of the Quinte Mall. Paramedics attended and treated the drivers at the scene for minor injuries. One vehicle was towed from the scene. The investigation is continuing.
On November 28, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. a hit and run accident occurred in the parking lot of 150 Sidney Street. An unoccupied parked car sustained damage to the front end. This investigation is continuing. Any information can be forwarded to Belleville Police or Quinte Crimestoppers.
