Traffic Enforcement
On November 27, 2018, at 10:17 a.m. a motorist was clocked at 95 km/h in a 60 km/h zone on Dundas Street West. A further check revealed that the 33-year-old Stirling man was a suspended driver. His vehicle was impounded and he will appear in Traffic Court on January 7, 2019 in relation to the charges.
On November 27, 2018, at 12:17 p.m. an officer conducted a traffic stop on Bell Blvd. A 36-year-old Belleville woman was charged with “driving a motor vehicle with the screen of a computer or device visible to driver”. She was also charged with driving while under suspension and will appear in court on January 7, 2019.
On November 27, 2018, at 2:14 p.m. a traffic stop on Bell Blvd. led to another suspended driver. The 41-year-old Belleville man will appear in court on January 7, 2019. His vehicle was impounded.
Intoxicated person(s)
On November 27, 2018, at 9:25 p.m. police attended at a disturbance at a residence on Chelford Cres. A 44-year-old Belleville man was arrested to prevent a further breach of the peace. Alcohol was a factor in this incident. No one was injured.
On November 27, 2018, at 9:50 p.m. police attended on Bleecker Avenue as a cab driver had a disoriented fare who refused to exit his vehicle. A 63-year-old Belleville woman was arrested for her own protection under the Liquor Licence Act. She was issued a provincial offence notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
