Members of Quinte Health Care’s Nutrition and Food Services Team and students are honoured by the Quinte Health Care Board
of Directors for taking part in “Co-op with a Purpose”. To the far right is QHC board member Peter Dudding, to his left is Vice-President
of the Board Jeff Hohenkerk, and to his left is Manager of the Nutrition and Food Services Team Marelou Daley-Jewell.
Quinte Health Care is getting involved with young people in a special education program being offered in Prince Edward County.
QHC’s Nutrition and Food Services Team is working with students with disabilities who are part of “Co-op with a purpose”, a collaborative
effort between Community Living Prince Edward and local schools and businesses.
One of the students has been working with team members at Prince Edward Memorial Hospital while 3 others have been learning the “ins and outs”
of the team’s work at Belleville General.
QHC hopes to have other departments within its system join in the “Co-op with a purpose” program in the future.
