The Belleville Police Service responded to 67 calls for service from November 23, 2018 at 5 a.m. to November 24, 2018 at 5 a.m.
Motor Vehicle Collision
Belleville Police are continuing to investigate a two vehicle collision that occurred yesterday (Friday) afternoon.
Shortly before 3 p.m. police were called to Wallbridge-Loyalist Road.
Both vehicles were towed from the scene because of damages sustained in the collision and one driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
Impaired Driving/Drugs
A vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed caught the attention of Belleville Police officers early this morning.
Police say they stopped the vehicle on North Front Street around 2:40 a.m.
Officers determined the male driver had been consuming alcohol and was driving without a valid licence.
Police also found a small amount of cocaine on the driver.
He was given a three-day licence suspension, charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and various other Highway Traffic Act offences.
He’ll appear in court next month.
