Central Hastings OPP are appealing to the public for assistance after surveying equipment was stolen from Madoc Township.
Police say surveyors were working on Hwy. 62 between Eldorado and Bannockburn on Wednesday.
Overnight, a GPS satellite receiver was removed from a tripod at the job site.
Also stolen was an orange hard plastic case, a 12 volt battery and a power cord.
The equipment is estimated to be worth $22,000.
