The annual Toy Drive by Santa’s helpers, Belleville’s firefighters, is well underway with a couple of fundraising events coming up.
The firefighters and their helpers are busy in the warehouse packing toys for the 1500 children on the Christmas sharing list.
Spokesman, firefighter Ryan Turcotte, says there is an event at The Beaufort Pub on Friday.
Deputy Fire Chief Don Corbett and firefighter Steve Morgan are both playing in the band that night.
The annual Teddy Bear Toss at the Belleville Senators game is December 8.
Turcotte tells Quinte News most of the toys are bought through local sources.
Children should be registered with Christmas Sharing by the end of November and the firefighters deliver the Christmas toys December 17.
Turcotte says the toy drive work continues throughout the year.
