A man looking for his dog was hit by a CN train yesterday during the late afternoon.
Northumberland OPP say around 4 p.m. emergency responders were called to the area near Haskill Road in Port Hope.
A 33 year-old man was taken by air ambulance to Toronto to a trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries.
An emergency stop train order was put in effect but lifted a short while later.
