Area cats are about to see a big improvement in their housing while waiting for adoption.
Thanks to the generosity of the PetSmart Charities of Canada Foundation, Carpet One and the Board and Volunteers of the Quinte Humane Society, cats now have a purrfect place to strut their stuff for potential adopters.
“We are very pleased to be able to house our adoptable cats in new cat condos that have close to triple the space for the cats to be cats in.” said Executive Director, Frank Rockett, “the new units have a separate compartment for the litter box as well, keeping their food, water and living space clean and comfortable.”
The Quinte Humane Society is a non-profit animal shelter affiliated with the OSPCA and serving the Quinte region. The organization helps over 2200 animals a year through its various programs. The Quinte Humane Society urges everyone to spay or neuter their pets to help prevent overpopulation and unwanted pets.
